  • Music Man Sound & Quality, Affordable Price

Always wanted a Music Man, never had one. But when I saw this bass and the price, I pulled the trigger. I have too many basses, including the 2 Fender Tele Basses I used to gig with back in the day (almost 50 years ago now) and many others I've acquired after my gigging days were over. Once upon a time, any instrument from the Orient, outside of Japan or Korea, was suspect for quality, but the quality of Indonesian made instruments is, IMNSHO, on the same level as anything from Japan, Korea, or the USA, for that matter. This Sterling is Indonesian and is another example of this high quality: fit, finish, and playability are superb. The sound is KILLER and, for older ears like mine, to be able to play a bass that sounds like this is a thrill. I must also commend the seller (whom I cannot mention here as this bass is available in many places) but this seller advertised a setup before shipment, so I chose him. Out of the box, I just tuned it and played; no fiddling and diddling with the bridge for intonation and string height or the truss rod and this is something that I much appreciate. In all, this is a 5 star product, a most excellent instrument. I could only wish that I would have had an instrument of this quality and price back in the '60s.
