A great read
History tells the true story. This book covers a sad time in our history that is given a new light by those that truly cared about the events I am going to make a guess at this point. Those that read will be startled by the events that take place because very few know this story unless you have already been exposed to these particular moments in our history. While it is true that our history contains those horrific days of slavery, it is also fascinating to discover the secrets of how many of those slaves were able to escape and make their way to a better life. It seems to unfold a little slow in the first few pages but stay true to the task.
