I bought the book for my computer science study at the university. I wanted a deeply going and complete guide to algorithms, and my feelings about this book were quite good, mostly because i knew a lot of professional courses used it as reference. There is so many good things to say about the content about this book and very little negative. Your ought to have a strong math background to catch up with a lot of the examples in the book, but then the satisfiction will also be very great. I can recommend this book for all math fans or if your just curious of how a algorithm analyses works.
This is one of the best (or maybe the best) training book if you are in the algorithm competition world. Clearely it cover a lot of subjects and there are so many exercises that make the training something useful. Simply check some Wiki about algorithms and in many you will see this book as a reference. Buy it without thinking it, also it is so big and you can impress your friends :) jaja Sergio Ligregni | Mexico
any one in any field related to computers should have this book in less than 10 feet away from the desk! It's the best book for beginners as it gives them a slow and easy start and doesn't jump into the hard materials at first, but it's also good for professionals for its complete review of almost all subjects. It has the right references pointing toward the right direction for people who need to know more about an specific subject.
CLRS is one of the go-to references for learning algorithms; now that I have a copy in my hands, I can see why. It is a deep and comprehensive introduction to algorithms that I look forward to working through.

The book seems new. Of course, the book itself is one of the most complete about this topic.
