It is working fine, although I have Roku on another TV and I like the remote better than this model. This one doesn't have the OK in the middle of the arrows, but down below so things are slower, especially when you have to type in password and email on your TV screen. Otherwise it seems to work fine so far. Also, no connection cable was included so I had to wait a couple of weeks for the HDMI cable to arrive.

I bought this product to get away from paying cable. I like that you can download lots of free content some are bad some are good takes a while to figure out what you like. Downside you can't use free HULU they force you to buy HULU plus for 10.00 a month. The news channels are awesome never could see all the news feeds now I have 2 moths of back log to see. Games are cool angry birds and you don't know jack are fun. You can also use a Plex channel to network your movies and will play all formats except vob. type DVD files. This is my first media streamer and it is well worth it. I cancelled my cable and this is all I use. Takes some getting use to but I don't watch TV much anyway and is a perfect alternative.
The Roku 2XS box is a pretty good device and is so intuitive that anyone should be able to use it right away. One feature it appears to be missing that would be nice to have is if the Roku would have the ability to be changed to IR instead of RF. That way it could be temporarily set to IR so a "learning remote" could learn all of the Roku commands giving you the ability to consolidate remotes and thereby having more than one remote that can switch inputs and operate the Roku.
I've read the reviews, seen most of the videos from those who bought it, and heard how its all the rage. I wasn't sure if it was worth buying, but having bought one and gave it a try its really almost like having cable/satellite/dish TV! Its really easy to use: just plug it to your TV, turn it on, and have a computer ready and you're set. You can even add a channel there are tons of FREE channels and you can buy channels. The channels you buy are affordable and bought channels depend on whether you have a subscription. There's a channel for everyone: Kids, adults, family, religious, sports, military, food, international, lotto, etc... I love anime and found channels that either have anime or exclusively anime (^_^) I also found new channels are added ( I don't know the intervals of how often but some get added every now and again ). Since I bought the XS version of the Roku 2, its got the full version of the ANGRY BIRDS, my son loves it (^_^) There are others like this from Apple, Sony, WD (WesternDigital), and ASUS, I can't exactly compare but I know price-wise there's a huge difference. However, if you are not the type to buy High Brand things this might be exactly what you are looking for, but if you are looking for something thing specific you might wanna do more research and maybe wait it out a bit longer. As for me, I am more than satisfied with my purchase.Read full review
