SynopsisExcerpt from History and Heritage of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church: Valdese, North Carolina, 1893-1993In May 1989 the Centennial Committee of the Waldensian Presbyterian Church asked the Historical Committee to prepare an account of the first one hundred years of the church as part of the observance of the centennial in 1993. For the past three years, a committee of eleven has worked diligently to research and write this history. As the work progressed, the people and events of the past came alive, and the committee members developed a profound respect for the many who contributed to the growth and nurture of this congregation. Although it was not possible to include the names of all who have given unselfishly of their time, talents, and material wealth to their church, their work was not overlooked nor is it forgotten. It is the sincere hope of the Church History Committee that each reader of this book will be filled with thankfulness for the blessings God has bestowed upon this church.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
