I brought this for my 9 year old nephew who is showing an interest in cooking. I did skim through the book before wrapping it. I was surprised to see how much stuff they covered. I thought as an adult I could use this cookbook. It covers a lot of important how to cooking tips. The pictures are big and it is easy to understand. My 12 yr. old great grandson, says it is very good instructions and lots of pictures, which he says helps. He is getting to be a real good cook.
