This is one of my favorite books. I re-read it at least once every year. The story of fading gods being usurped by the ‘new gods’ of technology- and the skirmishes, betrayals, trials and final battle that include a man. Great humor, action and story

A masterpiece by one of the great storytellers of our time.
Neil Gaiman has the ability to make unlikely beings into Lives that you can relate to. The ex-con Shadow could have easily been a simple character that one would have little empathy for. But, Gaiman fleshed him out into a likeable person of great humanity, in contrast to the highly complex and macabre world he has been thrust into.
