This was very good to get my hands on- getting the parts really helped with completing some unfished figures in my collection! The cape was the real main reason I wanted the figure and to get it at a great price and came to my door in a flash! I'd say that this was an amazing time and I am beyond happy to have this stand proudly with the other figures from a very underrated LEGO theme!

The Lego Knights Kingdom 2006 set 8702, Lord Vladek, was by far one of the best knights kingdom sets made in 2006. Reset itself comes with with the newly armored Lord Vladek figure, but also came with a large crossbow like weapon firing a blunt missile. First of all let's start with the figure: Lord of lattic is definitely undergone some changes since his first appearance in 2004. Like all the other characters, his armor was smaller, had more pieces, and left the figure with a more agile look. In 2005 the nights including Lord Vladek underwent a change in their armor and weaponry, giving them bigger swords, better and stronger shields, and better armor that could be placed on the legs and shoulder areas of the figure, with smaller pieces still remaining on the wrist and thigh areas. Also in 2005, black received an upgrade in his helmet visor, a sleek awesome looking piece of armor in which you could only see his eyes. In 2006, the visor peace, the chest piece, and the shield from the 2005 figure which simply changed a bit in color and reused however not making it a bad figure at all. On the contrary, the 2006 figure given the newer Knights Kingdom villain armor, and a much larger sword gave him a very powerful appearance. The villain armor I speak of, was the special black spiky armor that can be placed on the shoulders and on the legs of all 3 2006 large Knights Kingdom figures. His new sword was a special piece, being a crimson red color, and having a spiked hilt, leading up to a more rectangular blade the extremely sharp looking (no pun intended). One more small detail which gave him a very nice touch, was his "torn" crimson cape, which definitely also gave him a more menacing broad-shouldered look. Now, on to a crossbow weapon. The Lego Knights Kingdom year of 2006, was keeping with the traditional Knights weapons, but was also leaning toward that time period when machinery and firing weapons were just coming out. Whereas, the Knights Kingdom 2006 King Jayko had his traditional looking fireball catapult, Lord vodic went for the very sturdy and powerful cannon / firing crossbow on wheels. The reason I put the slash between the cannon and crossbow is becausefor the most part, the frame of the rolling weapon looks like a very large crossbow including the single sharp piece pointing both ways out word from the front, giving it that giant crossbow look. But I have seen in several of the comics and story line that has the ability to shoot down the castle walls and have you doors, which most likely means it was one of the earlier cannon weapons. Anywho, the figure of lord vladek of course, has his ability two sides when his sword in his left hand, which kept from his 2005 variant, meaning that you can have the figure standing right next to the weapon and if the arm is placed in the right position all you have to do is make his arm swing backward into the plot Launcher trigger located on the top and it will fire the missile. The block launcher does shoot very far as most blunt launchers did, and given the size of the crossbow weapon, it makes for a very nice touch. All together, this set is definitely one worth getting, whether you're a newbie tonight's Kingdom, or you've been a hardcore fan since the beginning. It has great playability, looks awesome on display, and is a very collectible item. So, if you have the chance, or you see this set somewhere for a decent price, you should probably get it it will be totally worth the time/money! :)Read full review
As a collector and fan of all things Knights' Kingdom, this is an amazing set. The cannon shoots fairly far, Lord Vladek has very detailed armor and sword, and his cape is a very neat touch. Highly recommend.
