The Icon Stormhawk is a comfortable boot that I can wear all day and feel good about my level of protection for commuting without having to carry spare shoes to change into. I've got 9 months of riding and daily walking and about 8,000 miles in the saddle on my first pair.
The D3O padding appears well integrated into the design without being too bulky or restrictive or too Transformer-like.
Waterproofing is good, the stitch work is very clean and high quality and they clean up well after light off-road work or long days of highway miles. All materials appear to be high quality and durable.
The real gem though is the BOA lacing system. Infinitely adjustable and extremely comfortable, I liked the boots so much I've bought three pairs, two in grey and one in brown. They're a good value for the retail price, coming in at less than $200 but when you can buy them for $135, you're golden!
Very comfortable, for mc boots. True size. Easy on/off thanks to the BOA. Don't know about rain resistance, yet. Would've preferred smooth finish, but
