Lightweght with a lot of shelf area multiple use cart.
I was originally looking for the smaller version of this cart because I planned to use in house and wanted to be sure that I could maneuver through doorways. I decided on medium and after reviewing the dimensions, I decided the medium size (FG452088BLA) would do just fine. It is a Heavy Duty cart and I trust Rubbermaid. This cart is ideal for any commercial use such as garage, auto repair or commercial janitorial or retail use. The cart can easly be wiped clean with a simple cleaning solution. The wheels are soft gray rubber, perfect for protecting from scuff marks on floor surfaces. Only two wheels on this cart rotate, the front wheels are fixed and in place. The shelf space is what I was impressed with. The dimensions for this Heavy-Duty Service Cart is 45.2 x 25.9 x 33.2 inches. This Heavy-Duty Service Cart is light and weighs 37lbs. I bought this cart because I figured there had to be a better way to haul in grocery bags from shopping. If you have a straight path to the kitchen table it becomes a very participle way to bring in all your stuff at once. I love it, saves me a lot of time and trips back and forth to the car. Other uses I have is working maintenance on my vehicles, The shelves supports all my tools (500lb per shelf rating) and I can even include my portable radio. Ideal for Painting, just cover your cart with plastic sheets and no more bending down over paint cans and looking for your paint brushes. I have found many uses for this cart and I am glad I bought it. Just load your cart up before you start. You will find your tasks cut in time not having to search for all your tools, Review assembly instructions are very simple, You will need an 6" screw driver or an extension bit on a drill for the handle. This is the second cart like this, I highly recommend this is an outstanding work tool with holes in legs for pipe racks in every direction. This cart is a brute that will take heavy load flawlessly as I found over the two years I used every day with the previous purchase of this exact model before. The cost vs. other carts is exceptional. The wheels it comes with are great but for heavy work loads and being more portable under loads at full loads needs the replacement of caster wheels with pneumatic tires type or foam filled tires. This is because when hoses and cords are laid out and getting over some material such as scraps of drywall, the other tires will go over these without hanging up like the original casters do. This design works well as a folding cart flat for movement in your truck by just not installing the screws in the legs, easily dissembles and re assembles in fifteen seconds daily. after several film shoots
I didn't want to write a review until I had used this cart. It is a solid workhorse, and it being made of ABS plastic weighs less than it's steel counterparts, yet according to the MFR will hold 700Lbs. I have loaded this down with a lot of weight, 45Lb monitor/case, 2 large Arri 4 light kits (approx 55Lbs each), a Lowel light kit (32Lbs), tripods (10Lbs), Light stands, 4 C-stands (60Lbs), tool box (45Lbs, 200Lbs of sand bags, Three milk crates used as grip boxes filled with stingers, dimmers, various metal attachments, etc (100Lbs), and miscellaneous items another (50Lbs), and I ran out of room on the cart as I bungie corded things on. This is not an easy cart to push with that much load on it, but it still did fine down the city streets and sidewalks, though you could feel it flex a bit on the transitions from road surface to the concrete ramps of the sidewalks. It is narrow enough to go through a 36" wide door without a problem unless you hand stuff off the sides as I did (Oops, forgot about the width). All in all this is a very sturdy cart and has quickly become my new best friend, and if we are not using the grip truck, it will still fit in my Volvo XC90 on its side and I pack gear in and around it as it doesn't take up much room.
