Overpriced, but a great fragrance!
ALL of Parfums de Marly fragrances are overpriced. Very few of them, based on reviews I've found on fragrance websites and videos, are truly original scents. They seem to take original and popular scents and create derivations (not clones) of super high quality. Percival is no exception, but that doesn't mean it doesn't smell amazing, last a long time, and get positive feedback from those around you. All of that being said, if you don't mind paying the extra cash for superior quality then you could argue they are a good value. If you prefer lemon merengue pie at a high-end restaurant over a lemon bar from your favorite local bakery, Percival could be a great choice for you. IM a PDM Fan..But....

A winner from Parfums de Marly
Percival is a great, albeit common fragrance. A high quality version of Abercrombie & Fitch's Fierce(and by extension that peculiar store smell). It's fresh, versatile, inoffensive and great for an office-type of scent with hints of citruses and aromatics like hedione, lavender and ambroxan. The sprayer is excellent. The quality of the bottle and the heavy cap goes in hand with its premium pricing. The bottle I got was manufactured in 2018, which means it is a first formulation of Percival There is no way I would pay retail for this fragrance. But the price I got it was roughly half of MSRP which I found attractive. Makes for a great gift if you want to go for a safe blind buy.
