A Great Console for a Laid-back Gamer
I've just recently purchased an Xbox One S, and though I haven't had much experience with them before, I believe they are really a great value. The design is sleek and aesthetic and interestingly, it is a very quiet console. A simple internet search will tell you the same thing I will: pros- it's cheap, it runs great, and it's loaded with content. Cons- it isn't the latest and greatest Xbox there is, it tends to be a bit slow and in loading aspects, it's somewhat dated. The graphics aren't the best they could be, but for it's price, graphics are the least of your worries. As I found out, a casual gamer can get anything and everything out of this console that they could need and possibly want. If you are a laid-back gamer like myself, this Xbox is the console for you. Not cheap, not fast, but opens up chance to play new games
It's good that by now you can get a bundle for $170-190. For sure not worth $300. But the console is nowhere near as fast as i was expecting. The menu screens aren't quick, the games aren't quick, although you can multitask and resume where you left off in games which is nice... The other bad thing is the network "requirement." You certainly don't need it to play but the whole thing runs smoother and is more integrated when connected to internet. As someone who is used to just popping a game in the 360 and going (and someone who uses xfinitywifi, not a real hotspot), this is annoying. This console was a little difficult to set up as originally being a ps4 user, but once I got everything done and set up, it was amazing. Side note, this console does not come with the verticle stand, I didnt know if it would so the same day I purchased this I bought a cheap one for about 4 or 5 dollars. Definitely a good buy. If you dont have a wired connection, forza will take a little while to download, but besides that, everything works good and quickly. Updates are super fast.
