Nice looking shelf, easy to assemble. Can be a little heavy to transport as boxed. Get a friend.
This is a nice looking book shelf. Just follow the instructions. They recommend you use hand tools for assembly but I used a powered screw driver on the lowest torque setting for most of the wood screws. There are light seam lines that are exposed that don't match the dark finish but not too annoying. They don't supply some spare small components and they come packaged in a kit. Replaced several cheap discount store bookshelfs with these very good quality units. Unlike the cheaper units these have bracing for the shelfs to keep them from sagging. Easy to assemble with excellent instructions only requiriring a #2 Phillips Screwdriver and a hammer. If your looking for a good quality bookshelf at a low price, this is definitely your best option. After looking at shelves for months and months, this seemed to be my best option according to the reviews I read. You won’t feel the sturdiness of the shelf until it is fully complete. It took me a little under two hours due to accidentally skipping a few instructions. I’m glad I made the decision to buy this shelf even though I was regretting it while building it. For all the other complaints about not being real wood, you get what you pay for.
