This Viper Mark I appeared in almost every episode of the famous films Battlestar Galactica (1978) and television series (1980). This Viper Mark I is the first model of the Colonial Viper space fighter line and was also known as the Starhound Class Viper. These small, nimble, single-pilot ships were designed for both atmospheric and space flight and were stationed on Colonial Battlestars, each of which held a squadron of 75. It was introduced to the military service not so long before the First Cylon War as a defensive counterattack against the Cylon Fleet. This Viper Mark I ship measures approximately 10.6 inches long and is brought to life in die-cast metal and high-quality ABS materials.  This scale model was faithfully produced to ensure that it followed the ship's details as accurate.
