This humidifier works well in my cathedral living room, more quiet, and almost as large water basin as an older/much more large model honeywell I replaced with it. Approx 1 refill per day in my large living room, I run it during my sleeping hours and have plenty of leftover water when I wake up 8 hours later.

Best value on the market for an evaporative humidifier, I think. There are others that are quite a bit more expensive but apart from aesthetics, they don't really offer any better performance. This one looks OK but it's not an art object to proudly show to visitors. It just looks inoffensive. It's super-easy to set up and use. With the fan set to strong, the noise is definitely noticeable but it's an even, steady "white noise" so it doesn't bother me. On the weaker setting, it's very quiet. With the stronger setting, it keeps the air at nearly 50% humidity on the lower floor of our (small) house, which is perfect. My guess is that to achieve this result, you'll need one of these per every 40 sqm (~400 sq ft) if the air where you are is very dry (30% or less).

We have 2 now, one for babies room and one for us. We really like them. Unfortunately ours occasionally makes noise from the fan. Not sure why..
