Great value for the price, needs patience & separate reference standard to get a good measurement
A great value for the price, but you have to work with it a bit to get a feel for a good measurement. Service grade - does the job but takes a lot of fiddling and practice to get a good measurement. With practice and patience, I got 0.0005" (0.01mm) repeatability. Instructions describe a slightly different unit, but operation was intuitive enough so I could figure it out. You need a reference, like a good micrometer, to set up the measurement - I used a high quality 2"-3" micrometer that came with a 2" standard to set up the measurements for my 70mm cylinder bores.
