I love goddesses. This book has many, many goddesses from many different cultures. It says that there are 50, but it feels like a lot more. The illustrations are delightful and colorful, and I enjoyed the mythology. One precaution, though: mythology is known to contain mature content, and we are not spared of it here. Not every goddess has it, and I respect the cultures who believed that, but if you are reading this to little children, omit it or wait until they are older. Each goddess has a sentence on how to and when to summon her power. I read a review against this which said that you should only worship the goddess it you are of that religion. I somewhat agree, but, coming from a religion where there is only “one god” (who uses male pronouns, at that!) I worship any goddess now because it is nice to have all of them there for me.Read full review
