An ok phone, not great or very good even
So I've spent hours looking over reviews and decided to get this phone because the price was right at a little over 100$... I figured the Zen UI couldn't be that bad and it had to be customizable... let me say that my blackberry priv has numerous more customizable features and a much better camera. The auto brightness is often annoying going to dark in some areas. I don't like not having the ability to choose my wireless or Bluetooth in the quick drop down making me have to go thru settings every time. One of the biggest annoyances is not being able to set my navigation buttons at the bottom so they stay lit. This makes it difficult to find in any light. The camera, as mentioned leaves a lot to be desired especially in low light like a room without natural or bright light . Its colors are very dull, often grainy but there are a ton of preprogrammed selections to choose from. The battery lasts ok but without a certified quickcharger 3.0 compatible with this phone, using any standard 5v charger takes an eternity. Its overall customizability of the phone and its UI is just screaming the need for an aftermarket launcher. The speaker is loud but not nearly as clear and detailed as my blackberry. Blackberry isn't known for their camera or sound but both blow this away. Oh and the feel... lets just say there's no doubt you will need a good case. The phone looks good but it is slippery. I mean more slippery than a fish fresh out of water grabbed by bare hands. When I read reviews about this I didn't get the full idea of how silky slippery it is but it will find a way onto the floor no matter what its on. The pro's about this phone are its pretty fast even with the loads and I mean loads of apps I installed. Its touch screen is also very responsive and reasonably accurate. Better than many/most. The fingerprint reader is also fast and accurate. Overall I can't lose by keeping the phone but I think only as a spare backup, not as a daily user.
