Got what I wanted
The part is properly application-specific. The spline machining is very good as well as the mounting holes that take standard M5x0.8 bolts. The very important depth measurement is spot on to the description, and the finish is very nice. There is an issue with the how it interacts with the clock spring that causes some clicking when turning lock to lock. Being honest, I have not yet figured out if this is a issue with the adapter, which has machined bores on the backside to engage the dowel pins on the clock spring.

Effective, well made and attractive wheel hub - for replacement of Audi tt original wheel (sans airbag)
This is a bit shorter than I needed but I fabricated a spacer ( so that my knuckles would miss the blinker and windshield wiper switches ) which worked out fine.
