National Cycle's Street Shield features a solid 4 point mount that attaches to the handlebars with their patented QuickSet mounts and to the upper fork tubes with hose clamps. The patented No Hole Ballsocket mounts provide a good range of adjustment and the shallow headlight cutout makes the Street Shield an excellent choice for both early and late model motorcycles. The fit and finish of the Street Shield are an exceptional value for riders of many types of motorcycles and is a great choice for those who need more wind protection than National Cycle's Deflector Screen offers. Made from 3.
The instructions told me to hold up the windshield in order to approximate installation points. BAD IDEA. Or, at least cover the front of your tank with blue tape before doing so. I put a small scratch on my tank because I wasn’t paying attention.
What I should have done was to place the brackets in approximate locations, install, then determine if needed to be moved. This way would keep the posts installed in windshield from flopping around. Also, I put pieces of an old bicycle tire between my forks and the hose clamps and also left off the tape that was supposed to be applied to my handlebars.
