Better then the sock type
They do a great job in keeping the fork stanchions clean from mud, the only thing I don't like is that they have small openings were some mud will get thru them so you will have to remove them to clean them at least every 10 hrs, it's a small job to do so no big deal really there, but if you don't do it, you mite get mud thru the seals.

Good concept but!!
Won’t stay on upper fork tube keep getting pulled down to lower fork leg. I didn’t even ride hard with them on and the kept pulling down. Probably didn’t even get 1/2 an hour out of them before the would slip down
