JT Rubber cushioned drive sprocket. For the LC8 engine in all 2021-2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R
If you are going to do what I'm doing and want to gear down your KTM 1290 Super Adventure R by going down 1 tooth on the countershaft sprocket this is the way to go. Use this type of rubber cushioned sprocket. Its easier on the output shafts splines and reduces shock loads to the engines gearbox. Your local KTM shop will take forever to get you a 16 tooth sprocket for the front to replace the 17 tooth sprocket it comes with. Doing this without changing the chain or the 42 tooth rear sprocket and the reduction of 17/42 final gearing will give you a 2.47 final drive. Going to a 16/42 final gearing will give you a 2.63 final drive. This will allow better use of the 1st and 2nd gears in lower speed tight off road riding.
