OK Factory assembly
This lever is an answer to a question nobody asked. Instead of having the e-brake shoes auto adjust, they built an auto adjuster into the handle. It sounds like a good idea, but doesn't work very well. My original one was defective and would slip and not hold the Jeep at all. This one works properly - meaning marginally. It will hold the jeep parked on level ground and a very slight incline - but that's it. Note that all of the components front to back are new and adjusted to specs. The tern "emergency" doesn't apply as it would not stop the vehicle in time for anything.
