The essential phone has been hit heavily with reviews some good some bad, but I'm here to write not about how amazing it is or why it is bad I'm here to review why to buy this phone. This phone is built small and is comfortable for the smallest of hands or the biggest. The entire body is absorbed into the beautiful Ultra HD Screen that just enthralls you into the device. The performance is absolutely jaw dropping once updated to Android 8.1. this version fixes all issues and makes the phone run amazingly! It sports stock Android with only 20 Google apps pre installed. All the ram is yours! Only 1.2 GB is used by the system and the rest is for apps that you yet. The 128 GB of storage is just to much! I can download and download without running out of space. The speakers have great quality and are very loud. The phone picks up great and the battery life is strong. it drops very slow and I can play games for hours. Speaking of games this phone runs them like a champ! For example the phone can run PUBG Mobile at Max settings with no lag! I could go on and on but I think you need to try it out for yourself!Read full review

This should be a great phone. It had a beautiful display, premium build quality and runs clean stock Android. Unfortunately, there is a serious design flaw that Essential refuses to acknowledge-the ceramic in the phone's body interferes with the phone signal. Using the same SIM in the same location in the PH-1, OP5 and Nexus 6P results in the PH-1 registering a signal that is weaker by 15-20dBm compared with the other two phones. So far I have tried the PH-1 on T-Mobile, Sprint and AT&T and the signal has been lousy with all three networks. Essential support just asks for screenshots and sends network settings that don't help. The PH-1 can't be repaired because it isn't actually broken. Some seem to be fine with the phone but if you check threads on XDA, Google+ and Reddit you find that a lot of people ended up returning theirs because of the signal strength issues. Read full review

I like that the phone has many high end features for a decent price. Good camaras. Many sensors for gps, compass, altimeter, gyroscope and 2 others. You can install apps that greatly extend the phones abilities. Many trades people can use these for diagnostics etc. I also like the sleek polished look. Mine looked brand new. I really like the onboard storage. 8 gigs ram and 128 gigs for apps and photos etc. I like the full size screen with narrow bezels. The good and bad. However, the narrow bezel has to curve as to contacting the screen. The screen then Stands Proud of the case. Your gorilla glass screen will not survive a corner drop from 2.5 feet. The titanium band gives the fragile phone extra strength. The titanium band will dent and scratch when it hits concrete. The back is made of glass. This is to make the phone transparent to the signals being broadcast. The back will break also. Please buy a decent case to protect the easily broken screen. I bought a $16 case that had a built in screen protector. I SHOULD have bought it first. lol The phones glass back is extremely smooth and frictionless. That alone makes the phone vulnerable to a crash landing from almost any surface. A slight unlevel surface or one getting bumped or any vibration even from a laptop fan/HD will make it more likely to fall. Save the heartache of a cracked screen. Buy a case and prevent most of the danger. A new screen is over $50 and is difficult to replace. A screen can not be removed and then reset as in changing out the battery. ie a battery replacement will also require a new screen. You are at "it is cheaper to buy another phone." lolRead full review

The feel of the phone is great. it is solid has no flex just a beautiful phone to look at. The performance is really really nice. quick response and no bloatware apps wasting space. only issue is that some apps arent displaying correctly. screen is cut off, supposedly due to various apps not configured specifically for PH-1 but still love the phone and the 360 camera is awesome. Also really cool that as soon as i got it the phone updated to the newest android version 8.1. only other problem was that instead of the black moon they sent me the white(Booooo) but i got over it.

This phone is awesome for the price! It has nice all around design with a great display. It's on the heavier side which makes it feel premium and the metal and ceramic combo just adds to the awesome feel in the hand. The phone is very fast and doesn't have any added bloatware (unnecessary apps/fetures). I agree with the 9/10 condition rating as I only found two or three small scratches on the back of the phone. I'm kinda let down by the cameras (front and back) as they're sometimes slow to shoot and aren't very good quality. I wouldn't recommend this phone to someone who uses Snapchat a lot or takes pictures daily. I can looks past the cameras though because of how great the rest of the phone is.
