Sadaris' stories have heart and honesty at the core. His story "Repeat After Me," at first seems to be making fun of his sister Lisa, but in the end it's a touching tribute to the eldest of his siblings. "Who's the Chef," communicates the humor and the frustration of not being able to communicate effectively in a foreign tongue. "6 to 8 Black Men" is one of my favorite Sedaris' stories ever. I listen to the CD when I'm stuck in traffic, and it always leaves a smile on my face. The only downside to this CD is that it leaves you wanting more. -Deanna, Los Angeles
Do you like to laugh? I sure do and I know you'll laugh till you cry listening to this cd. David Sedaris is a national treasure. He talks about his dysfunctional family members and everyday people he comes in contact with. If you have never had the pleasure of listening to him do yourself a favor and get you hands any one of his cd's and laugh until you cry.

If you have read his books then most if not all of the stories you will have heard before. I got this CD for a long car trip and LOVED it. Even though it was all somthing that I had heard before I still was laughing the entire way through the CD I would buy it again in a heart beat. LOL SO FUNNY!!
I like David Sedaris' writing style and have heard many of his presentations. This is the best I have heard.
