These clamps are perfect for permanent installations where a smooth finish is needed. They're great for air tool hoses and situations where hand contact requires a snag-free surface that cannot be accomplished with an Ideal style worm drive clamp.This style clamp also is a good choice if a clean, smooth finish is preferred under the hood on fittings such as radiator hose clamps. Don't use this style clamp if a hose needs to be disconnected for routine maintenance.
