Great previous generation option
This is a review of the Samsung S8+ (used purchase on Ebay). 1) Setup: easy and quick...no problems. It also updated to Android Oreo 8.0 immediately after setting up the phone. 2) The Samsung Experience 8.0 is very good, best version of "touchwiz" so far. I like it about as good as any other skin or launcher (though Nova Launcher is my favorite). 3) Performance: phone is very snappy and easy to use. With the snapdragon 835 it performs well, at least for my "office" type use. I've played very little with games, but the few I did--they did well, not skips, jumps or lag. 4) Battery Life: a little disappointing. I am a heavy social/video/GPS user and it drains battery pretty quick due to screen on-time. Regular use, I can make a whole day on one charge...but heavy video use pushes me to do a partial charge in the mid afternoon. 5) Memory: nothing to complain about here. 6) BLOATWARE: my most hated area of ALL smartphones. The Verizon variant (as well as all carrier variants) come pre-loaded with a massive amount of bloatware. Would be nice if Samsung had a quick and simple way to uninstall/diasable all these non-value added apps. 7) Price-to-performace: I give it a solid 5stars. The reason for 5/5 stars is due to purchase of used and previous generation device. I would not spend full $$$ for new S8+ though, even though I love my device.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

One thing wrong
I like the phone. Has a help button and more than one way to protect it from others. Only one thing wrong, I have not been able to find a defender case nor any other kind that encloses the whole phone. Good size but needs cases that covers that encloses all of the phone. Long Battery Life

The phone is great. Only issue is the fingerprint reader is on the back, which is awkward and can get in the way of wallet cases. Other than that, battery life is phenomenal, screen is beautiful. Upgraded from S5 and couldn’t be happier! Great battery life is foremost as I was nervous about giving up my removable battery in S5. Some reviewers don’t like where the fingerprint reader is, however I’ve found it very convenient for both left and right hand use. Big viewing screen is habit-forming
Nicest cell phone yet. I like the large viewing area but the phone is a little much in a man's pants pocket. Bright, clear screen. Nice response to tactile touch. Good battery life. Built-in speaker doesn't do well with music. "Smartswitch" wirelessly transferred every bit of data and apps from my old cell BUT you have to reenter many of your passwords.
