My daughter, who is 2 years old, watches a good amount of tv as do most children in modern day America. She also loves to run around, play games as any normal 2 year old. However, i wanted to get her a video game so during those non active times she could still be learning and interacting as opposed to just sitting and watching. I hear at least once a day " Dada, Elmo Game Dada?". As for her liking of it she loves it but it only lasts about ten minutes. Incredibly boring for adults to sit and control and play if their child isnt too into it. She enjoys the characters and scenery though hence why she constantly asks to see it again. I enjoy the pruchase solely because it gives her another option. However, I think the game itself could have had a tad more variety then just walking forward and pressing a button to find 20 letter X's in a row etc.Read full review
While this has great potential, I don't like it. My 4 year old wanted her own PS2 games... and I found there aren't many EC rated games. I thought this would be great since I read it was very educational - so I bought it. I think this would be OK for a child who has not played (or little play) on a PlayStation. My daughter had played other games before this (though, not EC rated) and this "game play" was way to "beginner" for her. The educational aspect of it was right on target. She loved looking for letters but the way this game is made - it was more a pain than fun. I think it could be greatly improved.
I have two little girls (three and two years old) and I wanted to introduce them to the joys of learning via video games. Elmo's Letter Adventure is an excellent place to start. Although learning how to use the controls isn't easy (I help alot), it's worth it when I see them jumping and clapping when they guess the right answer. It's alot of fun for all of us! Yay Elmo!
Game is good for kids learning letters. My kid wanted to see more "worlds" as she got bored of the 3 in the game kind of quickly. But it's a fun, simple game for your PS1 that you can get for a low price.
This is a wonderful game. My son loves playing it and it has really helped him to recognize letters. Within a week he was able to name the letters. It is perfect for preschool age kids.
