Two, you have just about everything you need to really cover all your recording needs. I am very happy with the camera, the heart of the whole bundle. It works perfectly and I don't think you can go wrong with the Canon VIXIA line, regardless which one you buy. The box I received was packed FULL, but well. The most important thing about it is YOU CAN'T PAUSE the video! The pause feature under "decoration" doesn't pause the video that's running. You can record to around 30 minutes, then it shifts to another video, but it makes it appear like you're still on the first video. So, not a great camcorder. Still, I like it that you can record 30 minutes continuously instead of the 20 minutes on my other camcorder.

It's small, compact and easy to carry around. The instructions were good, but you still have to play around with the on screen directions a little to completely catch on to how it works, but that's with about anything you buy for the first time. After adding a wide angle lens, I was able to get really good wide angle shots. It's hard to beat a canon.

Compact and easy to use. Bought it to use as a streaming video camera for teaching online. You will need a video capture device to put between the camcorder and your PC/Mac. Working well for that application so far. Being an entry level camcorder, it does not have an accessory shoe, If you want or need to incorporate an external mic, which is highly desirable for good audio quality, you will have to hand hold the mic or use some kind of a rig to mount the mic on. Also suggest picking up an additional battery or two and an off-camera charger for the batteries. This is especially useful if you are traveling or recording video of a long event.
