At times, Courtney Love's "America's Sweetheart" features brilliantly chaotic and utterly fetching tracks ("Mono," "But Julian..."). The record even delves into Love's appealingly sentimental side ("Hold Onto Me," "Uncool"). The album, however, features some questionable elements. For example, the instruments occasionally drown out Love's vocals, making her typically powerful voice seem small and insignificant (that is especially the case in the latter half of "Sunset Strip"). In spite of the record's occasional poor production value and inconsistencies, "America's Sweetheart" is a record worthy of a listen. When it's good, it's REALLY good.
Awesome album must have for any Hole/Courtney Love fan My personal favorite Uncool It's Courtney Love at her best I also own The Japanese Pressing wich includes different album cover and bonus track Fly* Love all the tracks on this album and so will you.❤

I like the picture on the cover it fits her personality. There are only 2 songs on this cd that are any good, one is "All the Drugs" but overall the cd is one of her worst projects. She usually rocks on most of her cds but this is a disappointment. Also she is probably clean for the first time during the making of this disc. I'm hoping that her new cd "Nobody's Daughter" she will resort back to her old ways of rocking.
Well this album is very good, but after Hole i was expecting a better sond from Courtney Love. Anyway for rock lovers the album is great! It was a great choice :)
I love this album. Really honest and emotionally accessible. Thank you Courtney...Plus it ROCKS!!! 5 stars.
