I purchased this Drone (Quad Copter) along with another by the same manufacturer at the same time, $40 & $100 respectively. This little one is a handful to fly, while the other that is larger, that has more technology integrated into it, is easy to fly, and I’m a 40 year veteran of flying Radio Control model airplanes. I don’t fly RC helicopters, they’re also a handful and take a lot time to learn to fly.I First, you must understand a few things: 1* The price of the Drone is directly related to the size of a Drone. These Drones, actually they are Quad-Copters and multi-copters, are approximately 4” x 4” (four inches by four inches) (100mm is about 3 15/16 inches, simple calculation) outside of propellers to outside of propellers. The body is is approximately 1 3/4” x 2 1/2”, and is powered by standard DC motors, not Brushless motors. This means that the DC motors are not as controllable as Brushless motors, and react to slight power differential much more radically than Brushless motors. Thus, harder to fly. 2* The smaller the Drone the less technology is integrated into the Drone. It takes space and weight and programming and sensors to add technology. 3* Larger, and larger price tag, Drones can utilize, and often do utilize, GPS positioning (Global Position System from satellites in space). They can also incorporate a bottom camera that senses its altitude holding ability by comparing expansion and contraction. These, GPS and size comparison cameras, allow them to maintain position in the air vertically and positional much more accurately, even seemingly locked in position. This Drone does NOT have these two features! 4* If you are buying a drone for video/picture purposes, it is my advice to purchase a name brand and look for the lower price of the identical item, as the same specific brand and model item may have a wide range of price between sellers, even being more than double the price in difference by those that seek higher profit per unit sold. Use the brand and technical designation to make sure you are comparing Fuji apples to Fiji apples, and not Fuji apples to Granny Smiths. So, this means that you will probably spend, for a quality video/picture taking Drone, with more bells and whistles than you will probably utilize, with GPS and Altitude controls, Point of Interest circling, Way Point setting and Follow Me features and more, a minimum of approximately $125, and, you should get a minimum of two (2) batteries with that purchase and a fitted protective case included. You cannot expect a $29-$59 Quad-copter (Drone) to do the functions of a $125-$300+ Drone. Lower price Drones means you are getting less for the money, and that is not any fault of the seller nor the manufacturer. Don’t be absurd, you get what you pay for, commonly. This company, 4DRC, has some lower cost quality Drones, size of 12” - 15” outside of propellers to outside of propellers, that do a fine job for a lower price, $70-$130. Christmas sales are on. I’m not going to suggest any specific Brand for you to purchase, not this one or any other. That choice is yours. But there are several brands that are well known to be quality. Be a responsible buyer and don’t blame the seller for your purchasing choice inadequacies. Please be conscious of price gougers, shop for reasonable price for the quality you are seeking. Do Searches and follow Similar items offered. Most of all, READ the data provided in addition to the flowery description. Just because the same designation brand and model is higher cost does NOT mean you are getting more or better for that higher price of an identical item. If you see this specific model for $29 & for $59, the $29 one is exactly the same as the $59 one, with exception to number of batteries included, or other additional items included for that price. Compare data to data, not conjecture nor supposition. I hope this helps someone, anyone, make a better choice.Read full review

The owners manual text size requires a microscope to read. I bought this because I needed one picture taken and it was cheaper than hiring someone. It did take the picture at a reasonable quality. It absolutely does not tolerate the wind. It blew away never to be seen again. It would probably be a fun toy on a calm day. The range is rather short too.

I'm just getting into drones, this thing seems somewhat hard to control, it's extremely light and very susceptible to wind. With all that said the thing cost 40 bucks and it has 4k camera action, I'm getting better at controlling it everyday, it's a wonderful introductory product to the field of droning for sure I would have to personally say without knowing anything else. I'm not an expert reviewer, and this is the first drone I've ever personally owned. And also the first drone I've ever personally controlled. It's tougher than it might look, but it's not undoable, it might take some practice. With that said, I have had hours of fun with this little POS, and plan on putting in more time on this one before I invest in something more expensive.
