If I Were to Only Own One Watch…
There’s so much to be said about this watch, I honestly don’t know where to begin. I suppose I’ll start with the day/date complication, and although this particular style isn’t anything new, (I believe Rolex was the first to offer it, but I am not for certain) it just looks exceptionally sharp, lending to the overall appearance an even more precise watch. Speaking of precision, the Tissot Courtier utilizes the Powermatic 80 movement, with its longer mainspring, lower frequency than most other movements, and silicon hairspring (This eliminates electromagnetic interference on the most delicate part of the movement) not only adds up to make this watch -10 to -3 seconds off per day, (Which is excellent by automatic movement accuracy standards) it also provides an incredible 80 hour power reserve, double what most other watches offer. The steel case, reduced glare sapphire crystal, applied silver indices with smaller, cool orange indices with lume, swordlike hour and minute hands also with generous lume, the trademark tiny lumed Tissot “T” on the second hand, and last but certainly not least the excellent and extremely comfortable black watch band with orange stitching that matches the small indices on the face and a well made butterfly clasp all add up to a perfect example of Swiss watchmaking at its finest without costing anywhere near what one would normally expect for what is offered in this timepiece. So yes, if I were only allowed one watch, this would be it. Buy it while you can, you won’t regret it!
