These are better than the older anodized version. Much stronger. I wanted to experiment to see if they were. And so far they are holding up great. The seem to be a hollow extrusion with thick tube walls. Unlike the old version which seemed to be almost like a bicycle wheel spoke. Those old ones seemed to be brittle in the role they played or at least with the design of the manufacturing.
