Birmingham to Memphis was originally commissioned and by Linn Records, an arm of the celebrated hi-fi company which designs and distributes top of the range sound systems, after The Steve Gibbons Band performed at a Linn Records sales convention to great acclaim. The Steve Gibbons Band line-up for this album featured Steve (lead vocals, guitar, harmonica), P. J. Wright (guitar, vocals), Bob Wilson (guitar), Brian Badhams (bass guitar, vocals) and Brendan Day (drums), and the six bonus tracks include contributions from, among others, world famous guitarist Albert Lee, two Dave Edmunds associates in Geraint Watkins (keyboards) and Billy Bremner (guitar) and drummer Alan "Sticky" Wicket Road Goes on Forever. 2010.
