This is an excellent DVD set. The episodes are well written and exciting. The rapport between Mike Connors (Mannix) and his loyal-devoted secretary Peggy Fair (Gail Fisher) is truly something special. Both actors are Leos with birthdays a few days apart. The series does have violence in it but the violence is not too graphic and is offset by some humor. Mannix has a great show theme with opening credits done in that stylish Mondrian motif of the 70's. The DVD case allows you to stagger the discs so they are easy to take out and put back in. For the money, you can't beat the entertainment value. Sit back and relax and watch Mannix solve the crime driving his classic convertible muscle car with car phone and mag wheels. Great Series - poor shipping speed with DHL
The only reason I didn't give this 5 full stars is because they used DHL to ship it with which caused it to take 11 days to arrive. This is somewhat offset by free shipping. The series Mannix is great and the discs are luxuriously mastered on single side discs which have four or five episodes. The transfers are usually immaculate so you don't have to strain your eyes to watch. First season with the lovely Gail Fisher as Peggy Fair, Mannix's personal secretary who joins the cast. Good to get the full season in one set instead of just a volume 1 or 2, a great bargain.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
