perfect birthday gift
I got this as a surprise for my mother's birthday after an accident destroyed our old copy. Package arrived on time for me to wrap it. The envelope was well packed, and the DVD is exactly as advertised, still with the plastic wrapping. We'll be watching it soon and singing along. Not brand new
Everything APPEARS to be in new condition given the fact that it comes sealed however it is not. It a dvd put into a moana slipcover and cheap dvd case that you can purchase. (The flimsy kind). Just stared watching the movie, only about 15mins in and noticed the picture gets blurry as if I was watching it on a computer and the computer speed wasnt keeping up with the picture. It also does not fit my full tv screen. It's okay for a child who doesnt notice that kind of stuff but it's very annoy to an adult that does. My Grandson LOVES this movie! It got here much faster than I thought it would and worked great in our new portable DVD player for the trip to take him home. I didn't even have to change DVD's. I just kept starting it over and listening to him sing to the songs. So cute! He's only 2 1/2 and makes up the words that he doesn't know. Granddaughter & I both love it
My 3-year-old granddaughter and I both love it. Moana is a strong heroine who wants to explore the world beyond her small island, and she accomplishes her goal without it depending on, or resulting in, romance. (Not that romance is wrong; it's just that most Disney films imply that every cute guy you meet will fall in love with you, and that's not true in real life!) Another interesting note on Girl Power: most films dealing with this subject take sides: Everything you need is in your own backyard (THE WIZARD OF OZ) vs. Grow up and leave your family behind (THE LITTLE MERMAID). My granddaughter has a new favorite.
We got this movie to give ourselves a break from Frozen. It worked. Now we watch Moana every day. All day. But that's okay. Moana: A great Movie for the whole Family!!
My family and I, watched Moana at Easter. It was a gift for my 9 years old grand-daughter. The movie was warm, funny and full of adventures. The characters were great. Good for everyone
This is, in my opinion, a great animated film. Of course, I have a personal love of Hawaii so that may have something to do with it. But what strikes me is the humanity of the characters, everyone has a reason for doing what they do. Fun and Entertaining!
For me Disney and Pixar animation has been lacking something in the last five years. I don't know if they are running out of ideas or what but I was doubtful that Moana would be worth my time and attention. I was wrong! I really enjoyed this film. Moana is sweet and feisty, Maui is funny and had me laughing through most of the movie. They are great characters and the storyline is too cute. It's heart-warming with lots of fun and action.
