I have a complete set of Wusthof I purchased in 1990. I hand wash everything and they still look really nice to this day. I feel German knives are the best for cutting, dicing and slicing. I have purchased the Wusthof electric knife sharpener to keep my blades sharp. I purchased these steak knives for a friend. The quality of her knives are not good. She is a wonderful cook and I can't wait to give these to her when she makes her next- lamb, chicken or steak. The knives will feel like butter going through her meats at dinner time!
My advice to people buying expensive German made knives! Never, Never, Never put your knives in the dishwasher! Always hand wash them, you will have them for years and the knives will look good!
