MDR-Z7 of the previous model was also a wonderful headphone, but I felt it was a headphone that took a step up as a whole while taking over the goodness Although it is a closed type, the sound field produced by a large driver covering the ear can feel a space close to an open type It's comfortable to wear, so it's hard to get tired because the housing does not touch the ear Sound quality is also a perfect finish for this price range, it does not stick at high temperature, it stretches beautifully, the bass does not have a strange feeling of pressure, and it makes you hear luxurious sounds throughout the whole area There is no fault in the headphone body, but the box may be too deck so it may be better to refrain from purchasing over-the-counter.

Sony Z1R: Expensive, but well worth It!!!
Accurate reproduction of sound, clear crisp, well defined across all frequencies. A real treat for the ears, works very well with less expensive equipment and of course, even better with high end stuff. As long as your hearing is sensitive enough to hear the differences from less costly headphones, I would recommend these without any reservations.

My favorite closed-ear headphones
I have the Focal Utopia's, Sennheiser HD800S, HD700, etc and these headphones are absolutely on-par with the best available. Very detailed and sparkly, fun to listen to, impactful and defined bass, extremely comfortable and isolating. Easy to drive, even from a smartphone. I highly recommend the Sony MDR-Z1R.
