This isn't as if the blade were destined for Mayor Fuglycool's backyard testing grounds or anything. Quite the contrary, it's now in my collection... which means that it is what's called a, 'safe queen'. However, I have very little interest in adding mere pricey, 'safe queens', to my collection which are otherwise useless. Obviously the Bastinelli/Fox Knives Grozo is not intended for such chores as batoning firewood for a campsite or hacking down the trees in a clearing in order to build a log cabin. Nor is it for door breaching, spearfishing or self-defensive EDC. But consideration given to the materials it is constructed from (Bohler N690 & G10) and the quality of it's construction it is near the top of the list, in my opinion, of what might be called special operations or commando daggers of recent manufacture. And the serrations distal to the extremely brief ricasso could allow it out of it's narrow military field of application and make it very handy, for example, to a treebound parachutist or to anyone who needs, for whatever reason, to segment paracord. Despite any potential secondary uses though, it is first and foremost a combat piece... a role to which it is eminently suited by both design and construction. (As noted elsewhere, this particular model configuration does not appear for sale on the Bastinelli webstore.)Read full review
