Has a few issues
Purchased TV back in November and wanted to wait to review. Easy to use and set up. In the beginning anytime the YouTube app was used those two dark lines would show up, but if you turn the TV off then back on they'll disappear. That mishap stopped after a few months. A constant continuous issue though I’ve been getting is the sound going out at any given time. Again turning off and then on will fix the issue but not long term. The TV itself though is great, picture quality is awesome and comes with many apps already installed. I wasn't planning on buying a TV (my first new TV and I'm over 50) , as I watch all programs via the internet - but when I saw this 55" Vizio for a total of $231+ sales tax, I jumped. Now I like this so much that I'm going to give it to my mom so she can cancel the expensive cable, and I'm going to look for a "deal" on a 75" Vizio for myself. After popping-on the feet & plugging in the power cord, ethernet, and antenna, the TV did the rest. It found my wireless network without my help, and found 47-54 (depending on the weather, apparently) free over-the-air channels with just the indoor antenna (which I bought from this seller) Besides the "air" stations, Vizio's extensive list of free streaming channels means more choices than I ever imagined. I've dropped my cable, and the savings will pay for this TV in 10 weeks, then it'll be $119 pure profit for me, every month. Awesome. Picture quality is fantastic - I'm playing a BluRay disc of THERE WILL BE BLOOD, right now - and it's so vivid & clear that it's almost like it is happening right outside my window. Colors are natural & warm, details pop right out almost like 3-D, motion is very smooth and steady. Found a used Vizio 2920 soundbar on eBay ( $9 plus $9 postage!) & added my own subwoofer, so now it's close to a hi-fi system. I bought a 47" Vizio for Mom a few years ago, and thought it a great bargain @ $440; she still loves it. So, I was confident that this new one would be just as good, and it's better ! Best purchase I've made in 20 years, I swear. this is a great tv for the price. it's simply awesome for HD football telecasts. sound system is adequate. light, easy to handle, the little legs included work well if you have no other mounts ready. setup was fairly painless, took less than 10 minutes, but it's not plug and play. setting it up for online streaming is easy.
