Best Field Books out there
I have been using SOKKIA 815200 Field Books for almost 30 years and no other Field Book compares. I had tried to save a couple bucks a book at one time and although I was assured the replacements were of equal quality, every one of the replacement books needed the binding hot glued back together before I got halfway though filling it with notes and the paper was much less tolerable to the elements. I have NEVER had an issue with the SOKKIA brand, it is a top notch field book that has provided years of service without any issues or repairs!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best book you'll find for the money
This is not your standard soft cover, pages fall out, ink smears kinda book, NOPE... this here is the real deal. Takes a fine line of ink easily and dries quick. Pages are well seated in the spine and the hard cover insures your data is not folded or messed up with improper handling. This is the standard by which other Chinese Knock-offs need to be measured. Step up to the pay window and write the check, this might be more but you're getting a LOT more for your dollar. If you're using this kind of book a lot, then buy in bulk for a discounted price. If you're just starting out, don't be "that guy" in the standard gear or equipment, including your field book.

Excellent arrangement
I prefer these field books over their competitors because the left side has the 6 columns and the right side has graph checker-board style format that you can make computations or draw illustrations on easier; where the GE Max field book has 6 columns printed on both right and left side. However, if you're just taking measurements all day long, day after day, maybe you want the columns on both sides (pages).
