The LG V40 ThinQ V405QA is the factory unlocked North American variant that has radios for all carriers and comes without carrier bloatware. It's a bargain at the $380 I paid for open box unit. I also have the V35 ThinQ Amazon that cost $235 for open box. It's the factory unlocked model, though it has Amazon bloatware that I don't use and turned off by uninstalling; which is quite simple. They both have the following similarities which I find are very impressive; 1. Network connectivity is excellent. After all it's a phone. Activation with any U.S.carrier including all MVNOs. I found Mint Mobile to be the best service and value. 2. Screen size, colors, brightness, and responsive touch. 3. In both OS versions the UI is well organized, convenient, and easy to navigate. 4. The DTS Hi-Fi sound is audiophile quality and IMHO, second to none. 5. Cameras are great for a phone. It's NOT the IQ of a Canon 5D Mark III or 7D. I know. I have both of them, too. 6. Hardware is the same in both models. The main difference between them is that this model of V40 has band 71; the T-Mobile remote. There are a few physical differences, as well as the OS versions, of which both are great to use. Eventually, the V35 will upgrade from Oreo to Pie. Having come from Nougat it's like moving out of a cave into a custom home. These are phones I'll be using for a very long time, so they both are cased in Poetic Guardian for 360 protection.Read full review

The phone screen broke just putting it into the case. It is supposed to be gorilla glass but the simple act of placing it onto this clip, the case edge barely pressed it and put a huge indentbinto the screen making the screen phone unusable.

Although this is a couple of years old phone it has great features for the money. Screen size and camera use is just right. Feels like it could have come out this year. Love it.

I previously had the Google Pixel 2XL and I really loved that phone but after 2 years I was ready for something new. I like this phone a lot. The battery life is not as good as my Pixel even after 2 years of usage but for what I paid I'm satisfied. The camera is great and the bloatware is minimal.
