Money-saving, easy-to-follow instructions for basic home repair.
This is a great book that offers easy-to-understand instructions for fixing many basic problems around the home. It has some good diagrams, and I really like the "Tools Needed" section that's included for every task. I have very few tools, so this helps me decide with just a glance whether or not it's a project I can take on with what I have, whether I might be able to borrow a tool from a friend, or if the project requires lots of tools that I don't own (which means call a repairman). It also includes some light humor, which is refreshing if you're tackling a frustrating task. The only downside is that it's an older book, so it doesn't include info on some of the newest types of fixtures and/or appliances. But it's great for most of the basics, and since I own a condo built many years ago, it's up-to-date enough for most of what I need to do.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
