Works
I bought this to slice smoked meat like bacon. It does work and appears to be well built. There is not a lot of detail in the instruction book and you can tell it is made in China. The instructions are not in good English. My two dislikes are 1) the deck that holds you product to cut is small. I can only hold a product about 4.5 inches wide. That makes it hard when slicing bacon. 2) It is a little difficult to take apart and clean. The instructions just say to clean with warm soap and water but not how to take it apart so you can clean everywhere. Good Slicer for Home use
The slicer works well, and I would suggest an experienced user. The unit needs to be broken down for proper cleaning after each use. The food stopping board is thin and therefore needs the position fixing screw to be adjusted for changes in thickness. Ive not seen a unit with one of these before this one. Lightweight makes it easy to move and store. Food Carrier Pressing Board could be closer to cutting surface for less waste (end cut). The stem of the grinding wheel assembly was not square to the blade and needed to be adjusted. If I had used it without checking, I would've ruined the blade (experienced user) I'm a bit of a Perfectionist, and perhaps more critique than most, but overall satisfied with the job performance. U get what U pay for, and this machine is inexpensive for what it does. It’s on the smaller side. Way smaller then I thought it would be. But none the less it does work. Works well, but after cleaning it to use it noticed that it sounds like the gears were grinding bad and then it popped and started working. Sharp but the design is not good.
The slicer is sharp but the unit does not have very good suction. It slides all over the place when slicing. Also, the safety gripper (that holds the meat in place) doesn't hold the meat in place. You get what you pay for.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
