AT power supplies can be hard to come by (though aya does also sell one it looks like), so this is nice for getting old motherboards working again. It should be noted though that most modern ATX power supplies lack a -5V line - most boards don't need this negative voltage to operate, but a lot of sound cards do, so just bear that in mind for your intended usage.

This adapter is very well done and it has the correct wire colors - something that is sometimes amiss on adapters of lesser quality. Also, the connectors are of good quality and the switch fast-on connectors are shrouded with transparent heat shrink plastic, which helps prevent any shorts with a power on switch loose in the bench (a common situation when testing motherboards at the bench with cables flying everywhere). One detail: make sure your ATX power supply has a 20-pin connector or can have its 4-pin extension removed. The adapter uses a 20-pin ATX male connector. I successfully tested this adapter with a Seasonic ATX power supply and a 1990s 486DX-50 motherboard.
