'Dove' British Civilian Aircraft (PE parts) scale model kit Manufacturer: Amodel (Ukraine) Serial number: 72294 Scale: 1/72 Material: Plastic Kit description: Unpainted, Unassembled, Kit do not contain paints and glue Condition: New in Box The de Havilland DH.104 Dove is a British short-haul airliner developed and manufactured by de Havilland. It was a monoplane successor to the prewar de Havilland Dragon Rapide biplane. The design came about from the Brabazon Committee report which, amongst other aircraft types, called for a British-designed short-haul feeder for airlines. The Dove was a popular aircraft and is considered to be one of Britain's most successful postwar civil designs, in excess of 500 aircraft being manufactured between 1946 and 1967.
Very detailed kit from in-box inspection. parts bagged in re-sealable zip-loc bag; a good idea. Clear instructions from the look of things. Four markings included, three of which are subtle variations of the Martin's Air Charter scheme (later to become Martinair of the Netherlands).Full cockpit is provided but no interior of passenger cabin. Quite a few photo-etch parts as well (e.g. static discharge wicks !!); the small size of these metal parts moves this model to an experienced modeler's workbench.
