We have a Cordoba baritone uke representing a higher price and very nice sound. The Ibanez nearly equals the sound and equals the quality of construction. Although the wood is not natural, as is the Cordoba's spruce and rosewood, the Ibanez is attractive and receives compliments on its appearance. We also have a Makala tenor uke. The Makala cost about a third less. The Makala has a clear voice, but given the choice, people pick up the Ibanez, especially if it is their second use of one of our ukes. If you are getting a ukulele for a gift, spend on the Ibanez. The G string on our Ibanez is temperamental, needing to be retuned frequently, but we like the cutaway, the inlay and the good quality of the tuning machines.
