  • Love it!

I love this knife so much I bought a second one. For me the size is perfect. Large blade. Comfortable handle. Super sharp. Solid construction and frame lock. Mine have no play in any direction. The only negative is that the clip rides on the lock bar if you switch to tip up. It is impossible to close one handed. I kept mine tip down but it works for me because the knife does not stick out of my pocket too much and it is easy to close. It's a good looking knife. Really love the stonewashed finish. I'm no knife expert but I highly recommend this blade.

  • Great EDC for the Price.

Like this knife very much, enough so that I bought another one in Coyote Brown. Steel is good, especially considering the price. Easy to sharpen and arrives sharp. Blade centers in the handles. Lockup is tight and strong. Fit and finish are both good. I have seen others complain about the stonewash finish but I like it, in fact prefer it over black EDP or polished stainless. Clip is good and convenient for me (I wear jeans). Carries fine in my pocket, not too heavy or thick. Opens well although I do not flip it, it will if wish. Cannot beat it for the money. FYI I alternate most of time between a RAT 1 and the Avispa. Despite differences I find them basically the same and the fit me.

  • Handle size and grip

A very comfortable size on the hand with nice grip. I can grip it as hard as i need and it does not hurt the palm, that was impressive. Blade is rightfully sharp and slim to carry. In comparison to spyderco tenacious I prefer this Esee avispa, better price too.

  • Substantial feel of quality

Just received knife, feels great in my hand. Easy to flip open, has the look and feel of a quality knife, will be buying more Ontario knives. I do prefer jimping with a ramp but that's a minor point. Very pleased with the purchase

  • Looks good, feels good, but not sharp

No as sharp as US made ESSE knives.
