Recommend to use ONLY as a short-term emergency survival blanket. The chemical smell can be overpowering. The advice of the seller is to air it out to eliminate the chemical smell. That wasn't happening. Washing it once results in a large amount of lint and the edges become unraveled. It would not survive a second wash cycle.

I received my blanket earlier than expected which pleased me. I washed it on gentle cycle, line dried, ran through dryer on air dry cycle, to remove lint, and placed it in service. I like it very much.

Its a good blanket, warm and not too comfy on bare skin, but you'll be sleeping in clothes anyway if its cold enough to need it.
