Interesting watch
I bought one of these based on some videos I saw about them. There are some things I wish I’d known before I bought one. Nothing bad, just things I wish I’d known. The crown is very wobbly. I thought it was defective but I guess this is a design element on the Vostok watches. Apparently it prolongs the watch’s life. The bezel does not click like most other watches. It rotates and stays in place but doesn’t click. Don’t go from the position where you adjust time directly to where you wind it. Adjust the time, push the crown back in and screw it down then unscrew it and then wind it. The strap that came with it was not the greatest and was extremely small for my rather large wrist. I ended up buying a NATO strap for it and it is comfortable to wear and very lightweight. This is not a luxury watch by any stretch of the imagination but it is kind of quirky and kind of cool and people that notice it ask me about it. It is a good conversation starter and kind of a cool piece of history. This particular one is hard to find right now. I ordered mine on eBay from someone in Russia. Other places online were sold out. Vostok does make a lot of other watches that are available elsewhere. I bought a second one off of Amazon that also has a date complication.

Overall value is ok
The watch is smaller than I expected and the bigger crown seems to be accentuated by the watch size. The power reserve of approximately 31 hours is okay but not superb which is one reason I chose the no date option. I also think they could have spent a little bit more and extend the seconds hands to the markers as it looks too short. The price of the watch is excellent but it is offset by the cost of shipping and the shipping time. My Vostok watches always make me smile!
This is my 3rd Vostok and I love each for their quirkiness, good looks and dependability! The fit and finish of this watch, like my others, is right on. While it does need correcting the time occasionally. I only see the need to do it every couple of weeks. I know I could take off the back and adjust it but I am happy with it as it is. My experience with Vostok.... they are VERY reliable, trouble-free and I especially like that they make me smile when I look at them on my wrist. Good looking, accurate Amphibian
The watch arrived several days before I expected it. Packaging was good. It's a great-looking example of an Amphibian - nice deep shine on case and bezel, quality perspex crystal, with the back attached in the signature Amphibian manner with a locking ring pressing the back onto the internal gasket. When the crown is pulled out the crown itself is 'floppy' on the stem - this puts people off, but it is for a reason, reducing the risk of the stem shattering should the watch be dropped. A smart design feature, don't worry, your crown is well attached and shouldn't fall off. The strap that came with the watch is a nice soft neoprene (I think - doesn't feel like silicon, but might be) affair, rather more comfortable than the hair-pulling bracelet that usually comes with Vostok watches. Time keeping? Stupendous. At the moment it's keeping within half a second a day against the ETA 2893-2 movement in my Glycine Airman. That's to say it is keeping two seconds and a half a day! Good adjustment. I expect that rate to change a little as the watch 'wears in". Altogether it's a great example of an Amphibian.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Better than expected and arrived earlier than expected.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this watch, but what I wasn't expecting was to like it so much. It seems just perfect: looks good, works well, and has a nice retro yet modern look. Best of all, it is a diver that looks like a diver. At any rate, I have worn the watch every day since it arrived, and although I had fully intended to replace the band on it with a NATO band, it turns out that the band that came with this particular watch was quite nice, and so it stays.. I bought this for the history and story behind Vostok watch company. However, after wearing it for a couple of weeks I decided to replace the band as the original rubber/silicone unit was unacceptable. However, the watch is within plus or minus 5 seconds a day so I am very pleasantly surprised with that. V Amphibia
I put the watch on a black nato, it looks excellent and very comfortable. There is just nothing not to like and maybe I’m just lucky but the watch keeps excellent time. Well worth the wait. Attached pics, as ever the watch appears larger as a photo but it has a short lug to lug so fits very well.
